Adobe Encore to get DTS audio tools

At NAB 2012, it’s been announced that DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio and DTS Digital Surround are being integrated into Adobe’s 64-bit Encore disc authoring tool, which is part of both Premiere Pro CS6 and CS6 Production Premium.

Users can now publish Blu-ray Disc and DVD disc images with up to 5.1 channels of surround sound.

Of the announcement, Adobe’s director of product management, digital video and audio, Bill Roberts commented:

“We believe our customers should have access to content creation tools of the highest quality, so we extended our collaboration with DTS to offer the most comprehensive authoring toolset by including the industry’s Blu-ray Disc™ audio technology standard. We’ve seen an increased demand for DTS support and functionality from our professional users and are committed to meeting that need across our product lines to ensure our customers can leverage the best possible audio solution available.”
