20130227-101642.jpgAhead of the doors opening on BVE 2013 at its new venue – ExCel in East London’s Royal Docks – here’s the complete Audio Theatre session programme for the three days.

The programme will see days dedicated to ‘Sustainability and Audio’, ‘Audio Networking’, and ‘Audio for DSLR’ and will cover practical insights from end users. technological presentations and discussions. ‘We’ve helped to give shape and form to the Audio Theatre programme, which has been criticised in the past for being a little variable, and to make sure that audio gets the attention it deserves in the wider context of a broad event like BVE,’ says Resolution’s Zenon Schoepe.

Calrec’s own Theo Schulte is taking part in the second ‘Manufacturing greener Audio kit’ session (Tuesday, 15:00-15:45), while Technical Director Patrick Warrington will join Paul Rivens of Riedel MediorNet for the session ‘Practical audio networking implementations: contrasting network installations” (Wednesday, 11:30-12:15).

Lars-Olof Janflod, Genelec
Genelec was founded 35 years ago in the middle of Finland in the small country town of Iisalmi. Iisalmi is situated 500kms North of the capital Helsinki and 400kms South of the Arctic circle. This is an area where the forest and forestry is an important industry creating many jobs. For many centuries the Finnish government has understood that the forest is an ending resource if nothing is done to prevent its loss and it is regulated strictly. One of these regulations states that for every tree that is taken down one has to be planted. One could say that Genelec has grown up in a society where these types of sustainability regulations are common and thus it’s been on our agenda from Day 1. This presentation will go into the detail of what we are doing and have been doing to be a good and sustainable public citizen.
