New Solo sound bar from Bose

Despite manufacturers’ best efforts, the latest generation of ultra-slim flat panel TVs can suffer from weedy audio because the speakers have to be so small.

The new Bose Solo system is a single box that sits neatly underneath a television and beefs up the audio output. Bose say advanced signal processing adjusts the output to get the best sound at any volume level.

There are only four buttons on the remote, and the Bose website provides scant information. I can tell you how big and heavy it is …

Height: 7.0 cm
Width: 52.5 cm
Depth: 30.9 cm
Weight: 4.6 kg

but that’s about it.

Bose helpfully provide a video, and there are plenty of reviews around, including this one on Wired, and this video review on CNET.

If you have experienced the Solo, let us know what you think. We’re all ears …
